American network broadcaster ABC announced that it is to launch a video streaming service in the UK in conjunction with BT.
The deal means ABC content will appear on BT Vision, the broadband delivered streaming TV service, via a new portal called ABC TV On Demand.
ABC produces television shows such as Lost, Desperate Housewives, Scrubs and Grey’s Anatomy. Programs will be viewable after the they have first aired on broadcast TV in a similar way to other services like the BBC’s iPlayer.
ABC TV On Demand is set to launch on the 15th of September and will be available as part of BT Vision’s "TV pack" at £6.99 per montyh or with individual episodes available at 99p each.
