Global security leader WatchGuard Technologies has strengthened its position in the UK by tying up a partnership deal with reseller Blue Cube. Based in West Sussex, Blue Cube joins as a WatchGuardONE Gold Partner, giving it access to WatchGuard’s range of network security, secure Wi-Fi and network intelligence solutions, designed to deliver enterprise-grade security to SMEs and distributed enterprises.

Blue Cube has over 17 years of experience in the cyber security industry and last year set record sales of £12 million. The company has also recently launched the Blue Cube Academy, aimed at bringing new people into the business and training them in cyber security and the threat landscape. CEO Gary Haycock-West said that the deal with WatchGuard falls inline with Blue Cube’s expansion plans for 2017.

He said: “We entered 2017 with rapid growth plans and this included evaluation of our vendor portfolio to be in line with current threats and the evolving threat landscape. WatchGuard knows the market and its products reflect this making its offerings very attractive and effective. We are very pleased to have WatchGuard as a part of our vendor strategy and to be able to offer our customers its products as a part of our consultative solution approach.”

Meanwhile WatchGuard sales director for Northern Europe Jonathan Whitley added: “Blue Cube is a valuable addition to our UK channel and we are delighted to have them on board. Blue Cube offers a strong collaborative and consultative approach to its customers combined with its investment in education, certified training and high-quality technical support.”

WatchGuard becomes the latest addition to Blue Cube Security’s portfolio, offering best-of-breed IT security solutions from authentication and digital certificates through email and file encryption to vulnerability scanning.
