Stone Group is set to take on the likes of Hannspree’s Micro-PC with its own ‘PC on a stick’.
The ICT service provider’s first pocket-sized PC is designed to appeal to students and allows ‘complete flexibility and transportability’.
The stick measures 125mm x 37.6mm and can convert any monitor with an HDMI port into a fully functioning desktop.
Powered by Intel’s quad-core Atom processor, it runs Windows 8.1, has 32GB of internal storage with the additional option of extending storage with a Micro SD card and is wireless and Bluetooth enabled as standard.
Available with a range of educational software bundles, Stone’s PC on a stick will be available for under £100.

The PC on a stick is the ultimate small computing device, available for a fraction of the price of a desktop or laptop, which is a fantastic option for our customers looking to get online for less.”
The device was unveiled at educational tech show BETT 2015, where Stone also announced the launch of the Stone Integrum, its combined server and storage appliance designed specifically for education.
