New product roundup: Samsung 128GB DDR4, Nvidia Shield Tablet K1, Raspberry Pi Zero and more

Here’s our roundup of all the latest devices, peripherals, software and components announced this week.

Samsung 128GB DDR4
Samsung has announced that it has started mass production of 128GB DDR4 modules. The new RAM modules are aimed at enterprise servers and data centres.

Nvidia Shield Tablet K1
The Shield tablet K1 is a high-performance Android tablet that transforms into a gaming machine with the Shield controller. The tablet features a full HD 1080p, 8-inch display, dual front-facing speakers and an optional tablet cover that doubles as a kickstand. It is priced at £149.

Raspberry Pi Zero
The Raspberry Pi Zero is half the size of a Model A+, with twice the utility. It features 1Ghz, single-core CPU, 512MB RAM, mini HDMI and USB On-The-Go ports, Micro USB power, HAT-compatible 40-pin header, composite video and reset headers.

HP Elite x2 Businesss Tablet
The HP Elite x2 is a versatile tablet that offers the productivity of a full notebook with the convenience of a tablet. At just 8.1mm thin, the tablet weighs less than two pounds and has a built-in kickstand with 150 degrees of adjustability. The HP Elite x2 is expected to be available in the UK in January at a starting price of £749.

Cherry MW 2310 and MW 2110 Wireless Mice
Cherry has introduced two new wireless mice, the MW 2310 and the MW 2110, as well as an updated version of the MC 2000; all offering compatibility with Windows 10. The MW 2310 will be sold for €20 and the MW 2110 for €15. The wired MC 2000 forms the entry-level model with a price of €10.

AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition
AMD has announced its completely reimagined graphics software suite, Radeon Software Crimson Edition, which has 12 new or enhanced features, up to 20 per cent more graphics performance, adjustability that can nearly double generational energy efficiency, and stability across the full spectrum of AMD graphics products.

SoftMaker Office 2016 for Linux
SoftMaker is putting its new Office package to the test with a free beta version of SoftMaker Office 2016 for Linux. The powerful office suite works seamlessly with all Microsoft Office file formats.

Optoma HDCast Pro
Optoma has launched a new 1080p multimedia streaming dongle, the HDCast Pro. This device plugs into a projector or TV’s HDMI port to enable wireless streaming of movies, videos, photos, music, documents or websites straight from a smartphone, tablet or laptop. It will also stream digital content stored on a home network.

Cougar 450 Series
The all-new Cougar 450 series is now at Overclockers UK. The Cougar 450M is an ambidextrous gaming mouse with 512KB of on-board memory and a PMW3310DH Optical gaming sensor, while the Cougar 450K gaming keyboard has a hybrid mechanical key switch, anit-ghosting keys and a 1.8m cable length.

Utopia Thermaltake range
System builder Utopia has announced its new partnership agreement with Tt eSPORTS and Thermaltake. The partnership will see Utopia offering Thermaltake products across its popular Helix and renowned Warmachine systems, as well as peripheral offerings across its entire range.

MMD 4K UHD 23.8-inch Display
MMD has announced a new display with brilliant 4K UHD resolution. At 23.8 inches, the 241P6VPJKEB display completes the UltraClear 4K UHD line-up with a new, smaller model. The new display, with an MSRP of £369, will be available from November 2015.

Mionix Sargas
Mionix has launched a new generation of advanced microfiber surfaces. The new range embraces five different sizes, starting from Small, for minimum desktop space, to Extra-Extra-Large. With its enormous dimensions of 1200 x 500mm the SARGAS XXL enables users to turn their whole desktop into a mousepad.

Hannspree 13-inch Multimedia Tablet
The new Titan SN14T72B from Hannspree is a powerful mobile solution for serious Tablet users. It includes a 13.3inch Full HD display, IPS technology, the combined force of Quad Core performance and 2GB Ram, a high spec dual camera set up, plus 16GB of internal storage.
