EZVIZ introduces new DB1 video doorbell and DP1 smart door viewer

Smart home security brand EZVIZ has announced the UK availability of its 3MP WiFi video doorbell, the DB1, as well as the DP1 smart door viewer with LCD touchscreen display.

Both products promise an “easy and affordable route to improved home security and personal safety”.

The DB1 is a WiFi video doorbell with a 3MP lens that can capture a 180-degree vertical field of view, so users can see visitors from head to toe and see deliveries left on the doorstep in high quality video.

The DB1 initiates a video call via the EZVIZ app on a user’s smartphone when a visitor rings the bell, so the door can be answered anywhere, at any time, subject to your cellular signal and other environmental factors.

To add an extra layer of security, the DB1 sends an instant alert to a connected smartphone when it detects any human movement thanks to its built-in Passive Infrared (PIR) human detection sensor. With remote viewing and two-way talk capabilities, users can see and communicate with visitors whilst the customisable detection area feature allows users to keep watch on important areas thus reducing false alarms.

Next up is a 2018 CES Innovation Awards honoree, the DP1. This smart door viewer combines the functions of a traditional door peephole, IP camera and doorbell system into a single-smart device. It offers a 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen display and 124-degree HD wide-angle lens, allowing users to see clearly who is at the door.

Featuring PIR (Passive Infrared Sensor) motion alerts for human detection, it also sends alarm notifications to homeowners’ smartphones with a picture via the EZVIZ app upon detecting visitors to the door.

A three-meter IR distance for night vision allows users to see and capture videos even when it’s dark outside. Equipped with a 4600mAh low power-consumption, long endurance and rechargeable lithium battery, the DP1 can last up to three months.

To provide more flexible and affordable storage solutions, not only does EZVIZ offer cloud storage, but all of its products are also designed with a MicroSD card slot so no subscription is required.
