HyperX reveals its first keyboard
Kingston’s HyperX gaming brand showed off its first keyboard at the recent ChinaJoy exhibition. Specific details are scarce right now, but HyperX did hint at brancing out into new categories in a recent interview with PCR.

New graphics card from ASUS
ASUS has announced the Strix RX 470, a new gaming graphics card powered by the latest AMD Radeon RX 470 graphics processing unit (GPU), clocked at 1270MHz in OC mode.
ROG Strix RX 470 delivers up to 23 per cent faster performance than R9 380 reference cards in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme and 25 per cent faster gaming performance in Hitman.
The ASUS Strix RX 470 is available worldwide with an SRP of £189.99.
BenQ’s new 27-inch photo and video editing monitor
BenQ has launched a new 27-inch monitor aimed at photographers that need to edit both stills and video.
It comes complete with 99 per cent Adobe RGB, 100 per cent Rec. 709 and a 96 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut with IPS Technology, hardware colour calibration through Palette Master Software, and a five-year warranty.
Xbox One S arrives
At E3 earlier this year, Microsoft unveiled its latest console, the Xbox One S, which has a revised design and is 40 per cent smaller than the current Xbox One.
It features a new wireless controller with textured grip and Bluetooth support as well as a built in power supply. It also supports 4K video and can stream 4K Ultra HD content from services like Netflix, and play 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
The 2TB launch edition has sold out at most retailers but Microsoft has also announced a Gears of War 4 2TB bundle available for pre-order for £399.99. There will more to come in the weeks ahead on 1TB and 500GB Xbox One S consoles, which will roll out later this year.
New Philips Displays on show at IFA
Philips will be presenting a 40-inch Brilliance Curved 4K display at the IFA trade show in Berlin next month.
Other curved displays will also be on show – like a 34-inch height-adjustable ultra-slim display.
IFA 2016 also marks the debut showing of the first Philips display with a webcam that pops up when needed, and is otherwise hidden in the display frame – blocking off a potential spyhole for hackers.
Another preview is the brand-new C7 series, the slimmest-ever screens from Philips Monitors, plus the new E8 displays in 23.8-inch and 27-inch versions.
Samsung unveils new Galaxy Note7 smartphone
Samsung Electronics has revealed the Galaxy Note7, featuring a water resistant body and S Pen, Samsung Knox, biometric authentication and HDR video streaming.
The Galaxy Note7 will go on sale in the UK in Blue Coral and Black Onyx on September 2nd.
Sprout IT launches new hosted PBX service
British cloud and networking provider, Exponential-e, has partnered with legal IT specialist SproutIT, to launch SproutVoice, a new hosted private branch exchange (PBX) voice service platform.
Exponential-e’s 100 gig Ethernet network will ensure SproutIT customers have dedicated voice bandwidth. This means voice quality is not affected by data traffic, eliminating the effects of jitter, latency and packet loss.
