New gear: Asus ROG GX700 liquid-cooled laptop, Razer Ripsaw capture card, first-ever Philips 5K display

ASUS ROG GX700
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced that the GX700 is now available to pre-order from Overclockers. The GX700 is the world’s first liquid-cooled gaming laptop with a detachable ROG-exclusive Hydro Overclocking System cooling module. GX700 is powered by the 6th-generation Intel mobile K-SKU (‘Skylake’) processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 graphics card. ASUS ROG GX700 is available to pre-order now from Overclockers.co.uk for £3499.99 within the UK.

RAZER RIPSAW CAPTURE CARD
Razer has launched its Ripsaw capture card. This tool for broadcasting empowers users with high-performance recording and streaming capabilities, bringing game footage to popular platforms like Twitch and YouTube with impressive resolutions and frame rates. It offers full 1080p game capture at 60 frames per second and streams on uncompressed raw game footage with nearly zero latency. In addition to launching the Ripsaw, Razer is developing an online resource platform for streamers to get tips and tricks at www.razerzone.com/ripsaw. Ripsaw is available now and priced at $179.99/€179.99.

FIRST-EVER PHILIPS 5K DISPLAY
MMD, brand license partner for Philips Monitors, has launched Philips’ first-ever 5K display. With 14.7 million pixels (5,120 x 2,880) and the PerfectKolor technology the new monitor is especially made for professional users who are looking for an ultrasharp resolution and ideal colour accuracy. The latest 5K resolution packs an extra 1,000 horizontal and 700 vertical pixels of display area compared to a 4K monitor. The new Philips 275P4VYKEB display, with an RRP of £1,169.99, will be available at the beginning of April.

ACER CHROMEBOOK 14
Acer has expanded its line of Chromebooks with the Acer Chromebook 14 – the industry’s first model that provides a battery life of up to 14 hours. In addition, this is Acer’s first model with a large 14-inch display and an all-aluminum chassis. It is priced at €249.

SYNOLOGY DS416SLIM and DSM 6.0
After six months of Beta program, Synology has announced that DSM 6.0 is now available. DSM 6.0 is a major leap in the development of DSM and introduces enhancements in every aspect including virtualisation, cloud solution, collaboration, security, multimedia, and accessibility. Alongside the release of the DSM software, the firm has introduced the DS416slim, which supports four 2.5” SATA III/II hard drives and is equipped with Armada 385 Dual Core 1.0GHz CPU and 512 MB DDR3 memory. The Synology DiskStation DS416slim is now available worldwide with an RRP of £222.00.

HYPERX CLOUD REVOLVER GAMING HEADSET
HyperX has unveiled the Cloud Revolver, the newest addition to the Cloud headset range. It will ship May 9th and is available for pre-order on April 1st exclusively from Scan for two weeks and Amazon will be taking orders after that. It features a studio grade sound stage with 50mm directional drivers to deliver wider depth and width for improved audio precision in first-person shooter and open environment games.

KINGSTON MICROSD ACTION CAMERA UHS-I U3
Kingston Digital has announced its microSD Action Camera UHS-I U3 (Speed Class 3) card. Its rugged performance and form factor make this microSD ideal for most drones and action cameras including GoPro. Featuring speeds of up to 90MB/s read and 45MB/s write, the new microSD Action Camera card is available now in 16GB and 32GB capacities (64GB ships next month) and can perform in any environment as it is waterproof, shock proof, X-ray proof and temperature proof. An optional SD card adapter lets users quickly view footage on a PC, notebook or media reader.

KASPERSKY LAB ADCLEANER IOS APP
Kaspersky has released a new application for iOS called AdCleaner – a free extension for Safari that automatically blocks advertising banners, links and popup windows in web pages opened by the user.

SPHERE 3D’S SNAPSYNC
Sphere 3D Corp has announced SnapSync, a highly secure, private, and fast file sharing software product for the enterprise and the SMB. SnapSync uses peer-to-peer data distribution technology, runs on the company’s popular on-premise SnapServer and Cloud-based SnapCLOUD storage products, and is compatible with Android, iOS, Windows, and MacOS clients. Pricing for a private cloud bundle with a SnapServer appliance starts at $1795 MSRP, with the first year of SnapSync licenses for a minimum of 25 users included.

AIRCHARGE MFI CERTIFIED PHONE CASES

ZAYO FLEXCONNECT
Zayo has launched FlexConnect, a usage-based Ethernet product for cloud and data centre connectivity. FlexConnect provides dedicated Layer 2 Ethernet connecting to more than 200 data centres, cloud, software-as-a-service (SaaS) and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) providers, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMWare and Cisco Intercloud. FlexConnect leverages Zayo’s owned and operated fibre network that includes 110,000 route miles in North America and Europe. Customers benefit from the expansive reach of the company’s metro and intercity fibre footprint with dedicated, high-performance connectivity.

LEXAR 200GB MICROSDXC
Lexar has announced the new 200GB Lexar High-Performance microSDXC UHS-I memory card. Designed for sports camcorders, tablets, and smartphones, the UHS-I, U1 microSDXC card has read transfer speeds up to 95MB per second (633x) and can capture up to 17 hours of 4K and Full HD video; 33,000 photos; or 28,000 songs. The new card is currently available for purchase with an MSRP of £109.99.
