Distributor is 23rd in list of private British companies with the fastest-growing overseas sales.

Midwich named in Sunday Times International Track 200

Audio-visual products distributor Midwich has been listed in the coveted Sunday Times International Track 200 league table, which ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing international sales.

Midwich reached 23rd in the list after submitting statistics verified by newspaper Sunday Times and joint organiser HSBC.

The Midwich Group of companies has generated £25.9m of current international sales, representing overseas growth of 116 per cent. It employs over 370 staff and current annual sales are set to be around £211m.

Stephen Fenby, Midwich’s managing director (pictured), said: "Over the past year, Midwich has invested further in its international operations in France, along with acquisitions in Australia and New Zealand.

"As a trade-only distributor, we are proud to be recognised in the list and to further establish ourselves as leading British company giving world-class service to our partners."

Midwich has recently expanded operations in France, where its Sidev division has added residential custom install to its portfolio. Named SidevHome, the latest French connection of Midwich has exclusive agreements with Core Brands, providing brands such as Niles, Elan G, Sunfire, Xantech and Aton to the home automation/custom install market.

SidevHome also has exclusivity on products from Autonomic Controls including its cloud-based media servers and digital amplifiers.

Last year also saw Midwich’s acquisition of Image Design Technology (IDT) in Australia.
