Microsoft and LG join forces on cloud computing

Microsoft has struck a deal with LG Electronics, which will see the launch of new monitors integrated with Microsoft software.

LG is set to launch a new displays containing Microsoft’s RemoteFX virtualisation programme, and others featuring the Windows MultiPoint Server cloud computing solution.

The Korean vendor hopes the deal will allow it to expand its presence in the enterprise and mid-markets, as well as across the education sector.

“LG’s support of the Windows platform and continued advancements in their integrated network monitors will drive new computing experiences into enterprises looking at virtualization,” said Steve Guggenheimer, corporate vice president of the OEM division at Microsoft. “We look forward to continued collaboration with LG and the evolution of monitors into centralized computing environments.”
