Intel has announced its new E3900 series Atom processors that will support Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The E3900 series will have Intel’s ninth-generation graphics engine for 3D graphics. The processors will also feature enhanced colour processing and multi-frame technology. Theywill use Intel TCC Technology to sync peripherals and networks of smart devices. The vendor has produced this series of processors to perform in the connected device market, however they could also be incorporated into wearables.
The company will also introduce its A3900 series that will be devoted to the automotive industry. This series of processors will enable responsive technology for smart cars.
The Intel Atom Processor E3900 series will be a line of processors that Intel will introduce across multiple industries, like industrial and digital security. The processors will be available during the second quarter of 2017 and are the E3930, E3940, and E3950.
These processors will support Microsoft’s Windows 10 Enterprise and IoT Core, Linux, Android, and other major operating systems.
The Atom E3900 series also includes a range of security features like the Platform Trust Technology that securely stores data in hardware.
Intel has been collaborating with Delphi, FAW, Neusoft, and Hikvision in its efforts to bring these smart technology processors to the market.
