iland’s performance demonstrates strong UK and EMEA channel demand for cloud services

Secure application and data protection cloud services provider, ilandis experiencing rapid growth and development of its secure cloud backup infrastructure, the company puts this down to significant expansion of its channel partners across EMEA, leading to impressive sales growth and recognition for its cloud offerings.

iland says its UK partner portfolio has doubled within the last year. This has resulted in year-to-date revenue growth of 140%. The company has experienced this tremendous increase during the COVID-19 pandemic owing to its cloud services having more relevancy to the UK and EMEA market. When government stay at home orders were announced, partners and customers alike needed cloud services immediately to enable the switch to working from home scenarios, particularly with the significant increase in cyberattacks, chiefly ransomware. Longer-term, companies are now looking for Infrastructure-as-a-Service as they build out their cloud strategies to support more flexibility and increased remote working.

In particular, iland has experienced increased demand for its Back-up-as-a-Service and its Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service offerings. In general, iland’s tools and services have helped partners build long-term sustainable cloud businesses. Training and certification programmes and resources like iland Catalyst, a complementary cloud assessment tool, along with iland’s award winning cloud platform, continue to drive mutual benefit and partner success.

Speaking about the rapid channel growth iland has witnessed, Koorosh Khashayar, vice president of iland global channels says: “A lot of companies are adopting a remote-first approach and are not going back into the office, so they need a fully hosted cloud solution. With iland, this type of migration can be undertaken quickly, a lot faster than when migrating to AWS or Azure, which is why we are seeing such demand from our partners, now and in the future.”

Koorosh Khashayar, adds: “As an organisation we have always been totally focused on channel and the enablement and education of our partners. We are continually enhancing our channel programme and have significantly increased our focus on training. As a result, we have seen the number of sales and technical certifications increase.

During the past 12 months, iland has invested heavily in making improvements to its partner portal, revamping it to make it more focused on training and certifications. Through its customisable Technical Certification training, iland has enabled resellers to take a hands-on approach in experiencing the partner portal’s features and functionality, first-hand.

iland is also pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Viadex, a UK-headquartered global IT service provider. Viadex is a Business Services Provider, partnering with its globally-dispersed clients to provide Technology Lifecycle Management, Procurement Consulting, Global Logistics, Technical Consulting, Professional, Project and Managed Services.

Replicating the success that the company has had in the US, iland is now looking to bring that achievement to customers and partners in the UK and across EMEA, recruiting new partners and building on the strong foundation that it already has in place. Going forward, iland is focused on growing and increasing engagement and further building out its channel relationships.

iland’s Partner Program has been recognised by CRN for the third year in a row, featuring in its 2020 Cloud Partner Program Guide.
