Huawei appoints Eva Wimmers as president of Honor brand in Europe

Tech vendor Huawei has appointed Eva Wimmers as the new president of Huawei Honor in Europe, and VP of Honor Global.

As part of her role, she will help establish the Honor smartphone brand in the European market and expand its marketing, sales and brand.

She will be leading an experienced team that consists of experts from different countries across Europe.

Wimmers has over 20 years of experience with brands including T-Systems, Buyin and T-Mobile.

She was responsible for the establishment of Telekom’s private label products “T-Com” and T-Mobile’s “MDA”, amongst other projects.

George Zhao, president of Honor, commented: “With Eva’s experience onboard, we will take the Honor brand and products to the next level in the European market. Wimmers has a proven track record of driving effective change within large and small international businesses and is an expert in building European and global trends, brands and partnerships.”

Honor is a smartphone youth brand targeted at consumers aged 16 to 36.

Huawei’s products and services are available in more than 170 countries, and are used by a third of the world’s population.
