Gigabyte launches AB350N-Gaming WIFI motherboard

Taiwanese component maker Gigabyte has unveiled the snappily titled AMD AB350N-Gaming WIFI Mini-ITX motherboard. Based on AMD’s B350 chipset, the motherboard has built-in Smart-Fan 5, Hybrid Fan Pin Header, RGB fusion and server-class components and has been designed to support AMD’s to-of-the-line Wraith Max CPU cooler.

This isn’t the first time that the company has worked together with AMD, noted Gigabyte Motherboard Business Unit vice president Henry Kao.“Gigabyte has been building strong relationships with AMD. When AMD published the latest Wraith Max, we released a corresponding model to meet the demand.

“Even more so, Gigabyte’s R&D put great efforts on re-arranging the components on the board in order to make mini motherboards achieve optimal compatibility for larger thermal cooling solutions. In the future, we will continue to cooperate with AMD and create more unique, creative products to address the demands from gamers and enthusiasts.”

And the company has had to work closely with AMD’s new products in mind. The newly released Wraith Max has larger dimensions and is heavier, so as a result Gigabyte had to redesign its motherboards to enlarge the zones between the CPU socket and DIMM Slots. This means that the AB350N-Gaming WIFI can support larger CPU coolers and other components, and features improve the air circulation. In addition, end-users can install memory modules with larger coolers without any interference.
