Gem Logistics picks up UK Warehousing Association award

Gem Logistics, which operates a 250,000 sq ft storage facility in Raunds, Northamptonshire, has been named the United Kingdom Warehousing Association’s (UKWA) Best New Member 2013.

With nearly 700 members, the UKWA is Britain’s leading trade organisation for the third party logistics (3PL) sector.

The UKWA’s Awards for Warehousing 2013 ceremony was recently held at The Dorchester Hotel in London, which had over 400 UKWA members and their guests present.

Gem Logistics says it was delighted with the prestigious win. It was nominated earlier this year.

Frank Ring, Gem’s Business Development Manager, commented: “Gem Logistics is delighted to have been recognised in this way. To have been nominated and also win the UKWA Best Newcomer Award reflects very well on Gem Logistics and our employees."

Roger Williams, the UKWA’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “The high quality of the entries underlines the professionalism that runs through the modern logistics industry."
