BullGuard focuses on smart device security in new product line

The rise of the internet of things and smart devices, has led to the belief that our homes are more vulnerable to cyber attacks than every before. Security firms and industry experts have long warned of hackers entering your data through a smart speaker, or connected kitchen appliance.

Taking note of the recent concerns, BullGuard has added a Home Network Scanner to its Premium Protection, detecting and shielding vulnerabilities in smart devices. In addition, BullGuard has introduced a next-generation anti-malware engine that detects new malware and shares its behavioural patterns with the cloud, instantly blocking the very latest undiscovered threats.

The 2018 line-up also features a new Vulnerability Scanner to detect security issues with Windows, applications and network encryption. A Game Booster automatically detects gaming sessions, intelligently optimising the system for the maximum performance. A new firewall uses an anomaly-based Intrusion

The Home Network Scanner is capable of monitoring multiple networks at a time, running automatically in the background, and proactively scanning the home Wi-Fi network and all connected smart devices. The cloud-based machine learning systems that underlie BullGuard’s proprietary anti-malware engine combined with Dojo by BullGuard, The new Home Network Scanner and Dojo are also complementary, and combine to deliver a more robust consumer cybersecurity solution.
