IFA 2014: Acer announces Switch 11 two-in-one

Acer held its pre-IFA press conference today where it announced several new laptops, tablets and smartphones, including the Switch 11 two-in-one hybrid notebook.

The Switch 11 (pictured) can switch between four modes for touch, typing, viewing, and sharing. It features 11.6-inch IPS displays, durable Corning Gorilla Glass 3, an anti-fingerprint coating and a responsive Chiclet keyboard.

The latest Aspire Switch 10 meanwhile features a 10.1-inch Full HD display.

Both Switch product lines provide IPS and Zero Air Gap technology for sharper image and wide angle viewing, as well as a magnetic detachable hinge that permits smooth switching between modes and latch-free keyboard docking.

The Acer Aspire Switch 11 series will be available in October 2014 with prices starting at £299.99. The Switch 10 Full HD will be available in late October priced from £299.99 while the 1280 x 800 version of the Switch 10 is available now at £279.99.

The Aspire R 13 Series include numerous high-end features, including FHD and WQHD displays, Gorilla Glass 3, Solid State Drives and support for an optional Acer Active Pen, while the Aspire R 14 incorporates a 360 degree dual-torque hinge design that allows transformation into four different modes.
