Epson launches EcoTank mono printers

Epson has added tow new models to its EcoTank range, completing its mono-focused portfolio of ink tank system printers.

Providing an alternative to laser printers, the ET-M1170 and ET-M2170 are durable, fast and energy efficient printers designed for users and businesses that need a low-cost solution to print a high volume of black and white documents.

“Our colour ink tank system printers have reached more than 30 million sales worldwide as they’ve proved such a reliable, cost-effective and efficient printing system. These new EcoTank mono models will build on that success, by providing users and small businesses, such as car garages and small accountancy firms, a solution to dramatically reduce their cost per page,” said Chris Jones, product manager, Epson Europe.

The economical EcoTank provides an extremely low cost per page, so businesses could print up to 11,000 pages in black from the set of bottles included with the printer. The printer features a large refillable ink tank that is filled with the included ink bottles instead of toner. Epson says the replacement ink bottles could save the business up to 90% on their cost per page.

The portfolio of EcoTank mono printers caters for a range of users and businesses with single function (ET-M1100, ET-M1120, ETM1140 and ET-M1170), 3-in-1 (ET-M2140 and ET-M2170) and 4-in-1 printers (ET-M3140 and ET-M3170).

The printers have been designed with a compact footprint and tanks positioned at the front rather than to the side, allowing the ink levels to be viewed from the front.
