Tech Data resellers to get extra incentives for joining Norton partner programme

Any reseller enlisting for PartnerNet before the end of June will be entered into a draw to win a range of prizes

Distributor Tech Data is encouraging resellers to sign-up for the new Norton PartnerNet programme with a special promotion.

The new incentives offer resellers the chance to win a range of business-related prizes.

The promotion will run until the end of June and any reseller enlisting for PartnerNet during this time will be entered into a draw to win a range of associated prizes.

Resellers that have already registered for the programme will also be entered into the draw if they revisit or log-into the site before the end of June.

The incentives on offer include a star prize of a not-for-resale license of Norton Security Premium – up to a maximum of 30 seats.

Other prizes include ten free copies of the three-device version of Norton Security Deluxe, and £800 of creative credits for the Norton Assets to help drive sales (terms and conditions apply).

Norton is also offering a free notebook PC under the auspices of its System Builder Programme (once again, terms and conditions apply here), and free-of-charge training for all staff on Norton products and programmes.

“Signing up for Norton PartnerNet makes sense anyway. All Norton resellers – and that’s just about all resellers – will benefit,” said Nick Stancliffe, Tech Data’s software business development manager.

“Having the chance to win such an amazing set of prizes is a very positive incentive. It is great to see a software vendor offering rewards that will genuinely benefit the partner’s business.”

Tech Data has also announced that it will now be offering a tape labelling service for LTO media in partnership with the industry standard labelling solution provider, Tri-optic.

The service has been introduced in response to growing demand for LTO tape labelling as organisations move increasingly toward tape automation for data archiving purposes, ensuring that resellers can meet growing customer requirements in this area.

“Large data archive requirements are becoming increasingly common as end user organisations look to meet regulatory compliance requirements, and find cost-effective ways of storing data long term,” said Colin Shepherd, supplies business manager at Tech Data.

“That’s making tape an attractive solution, which highlights the need our customers have for an end-to-end service where their HPE LTO tapes arrive on site, ready to use immediately within a tape automation environment. That’s why we’ve entered this partnership with Tri-optic – to enable resellers to meet that specific need.”

Tech Data can provide the labels only or have the labels applied to the tapes before shipment ready for customer use. The costs vary according to the service required, and Shepherd advises resellers to seek guidance if they are unsure of the best option. There is usually a 48-hour turnaround on orders for labels.
