Target Components strikes Genius distribution deal

Target Components has signed an exclusive UK distribution deal with peripherals vendor Genius. Target will have access to Genius’s entire portfolio of home and business peripherals as well as their newly-launched GX gaming range.

Genius specialises in high-quality products to compliment changing requirements in the PC and mobile markets, leading to new product additions such as standalone Bluetooth speakers and mobile accessories.

Martyn Kirby, Target’s head of Purchasing, said that the Genius products will offer ‘plenty of margin for resellers’. “This is fantastic news,” he said. “We’ve worked with Genius for years and our broad range of customers is really well-acquainted with their strengths – high-quality, robust products in really attractive retail packaging with plenty of margin for resellers.”

Explaining their decision to consolidate all UK distribution through Target, Billy Tsai, global sales manager for Genius’s parent company, KYE Systems, commented: “Target is a key partner for Genius – their large customer base and breadth of independent retailers, etailers and system builder customers gives us excellent access to the UK market. With the addition our GX gaming range and Target’s focus on exclusive UK distribution, we are excited about the future of Genius as a trusted brand in the UK.”

The Genius range of peripherals is also available on the In-Store PC Builder, Target’s free-to-use PC configurator that has recently been revamped for a more user-friendly experience.
