Memory, storage and networking manufacturer Ortial Technologies has signed an exclusive partnership with CMS Distribution.

Beginning this month, the alliance with CMS will “accelerate Ortial’s ongoing market development of new and emerging technologies”.

CMS is a distributor of business and consumer technology that supplies to over 3,000 reseller partners on a trade only basis, specialising in the same category areas as Ortial.

With a 70% year-on-year growth, Ortial plans to increase and diversify its product portfolio as well as expand geographical coverage. 20 new product lines are projected over the next 12 months, spread across SSDs, NVMEs, memory, gaming components and peripherals. The company said the partnership with CMS will help to achieve its goals and grow its global reach.

“Signing CMS was a logical next step for Ortial because they have the skillset and customer base to enable us to target a significant number of customers with our extensive range of high quality products,” said Ortial sales director John-Paul Williams.

“2019 will be an exciting year for us and we feel CMS is a perfect fit for our growth expectations over the medium term. We are looking forward to building a fantastic relationship together.”

CMS Components product sales manager Jonpaul Warren, added: “We are known for providing our customers with leading product expertise that they rely on. With a 10 year warranty on Ortial SSD’s we want to offer our customers the same confidence and high reliability they have in us, but in a component. Ortial have demonstrated the quality of their extensive product range and will provide us with a tremendous opportunity to engage across our entire customer base.”

The new partnership coincides with significant growth of the Ortial brand and product range. Having introduced networking components (transceivers and cables) to support the existing range of memory products, launched SSD product lines and moved premises to a larger facility in Harrogate, North Yorkshire in 2018, the company is poised for the next stage in global expansion. Gaming is a key growth area for 2019 as well as further additions to the existing product lines.
