Exertis relocates to new office as business continues to grow

The move consolidates the company’s current 380 Basingstoke employees into one completely refurbished building

Distributor Exertis is relocating its Basingstoke offices to a new premise to support the continued growth of the company.

The offices will move to a larger space in the same Chineham Business Park estate.

The move from Elmwood to Ashwood consolidates the company’s current 380 Basingstoke employees into one completely refurbished building.

The Ashwood location will house all Exertis commercial departments, including sales, marketing, purchasing and the technical teams.

Paul Bryan, Exertis UK&I managing director, said: “The requirement to move to new premises is indicative of how the Exertis business has developed over the last few years across our four technology areas: IT, mobile, home and supplies. We now have a facility that meets our needs today and can cope with our strategy for continued growth.”

There are no changes to the main telephone numbers and the new address is: Ashwood, Chineham Business Park, Chineham, Basingstoke. RG24 8EH.

Exertis also has offices in Altham, Harlow, Stoke-on-Trent, Elland and is building a National Distribution Centre in Altham (a new 650,000 sq.ft. logistics facility). In addition, it owns Computers Unlimited, which has UK offices in London. None of these locations are affected by the move.

Last week, PCR reported that Exertis’ operating profit for Q3 2015 was impacted by reduced demand for tablets, smartphones and gaming technology.

So far this year, the distributor has announced a number of partnerships, including extending its smart tech portfolio with the likes of Guardzilla, Tile and Momit, adding Hitachi projectors and flat panels to its AV offering, and extending its Samsung print offering to include the vendor’s office automation products.

Exertis has also recently become a Huawei Certified Services Partner, which the firm says enables it to deliver certified vendor-backed services through the entire sales cycle, providing a full range of pre-sales, network design, installation and maintenance services on behalf of resellers.
