Exertis’ professional services division has gained ISO 20071 accreditation for its commitment to information security management.

The accolade is achieved only when appropriate policies, procedures and organisational structures are put in place that enable a company to refine its information security management system.

Exertis’ technical services director Ian Gilbey, said: “IS0 27001 certification provides our partners and resellers with even greater confidence in the way they engage with our range of professional services, and sends an important message that Exertis manages security risks effectively and in the correct manner. Besides being a key differentiator for our services, our customers know that we have the policies and procedures in place to protect their information from security threats.”

Other ways companies are able to achieve ISO 20071 certification are to adopt an overarching management process. This ensures information security controls always align with the organisation’s information security needs.

There is also designing and delivering a suite of information security controls that contribute to whether a company is recognised for its information security management policies.

Exertis has also managed to keep its CRN distributor services 2016 award, highlighting how successful this year has been for the B2B distributor.
