CES 2019: TP-Link launches WiFi router range

TP-Link has introduced a number of new networking products in time for this year’s CES, including its WiFi router range and a number of new home mesh offerings. All of which will be on show between January 8-11 at the Sands, Halls A-D – Booth 42756.

WiFI Routers

TP-Link’s new product line of WiFi routers support the new 802.11ax wireless standard, also known as Wi-Fi 6, and boasts numerous products and pricing options from entry level to high end.

Leading the lineup is TP-Link’ first AX Mesh WiFi product – the Deco X10 Whole Home Mesh WiFi System. Featuring Mesh technology overlaid with AX speeds, the Deco X10 is designed to provide AX2700 tri-band speeds with a backhaul up to 1.95Gbps.

Next up is the Archer AX11000, a next-gen tri-band gaming router that was named a CES 2019 Innovation Awards Honoree. The AX11000 is TP-Link’s first AX Wi-Fi gaming router and is specially designed for users who insist on the highest performance and latest functionality. The AX11000 transmits data at tri-band speeds up to 10756 Mbps in total, and its OFDMA technology and Gaming Accelerator combinere to demolish latency and interference, “making it the perfect networking hub for your high-bandwidth gaming needs” as TP-Link puts it.

The company has also introduced the Archer AX6000, an uber-powerful Wi-Fi 6 router that provides 1148 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 4804 Mbps on the 5GHz band. It supports multiple high-demand applications such as ultra-HD 4K/8K video streaming and gaming at the same time. The Archer AX6000 is designed to speed up your connection and serve more devices simultaneously – making it ideal for the modern home or office.

The Archer range also has a budget-friendly model in the form of the AX1800, which is designed for users who want the speed and performance of Wi-Fi 6 at an entry level cost. TP-Link also offers the Archer AX1500 WiFi router with slightly lower speeds.

There’s also the AX1800 WiFi Range Extender RE705X, TP-Link’s first AX WiFi range extender to the market. Featuring both 5GHz and 2.4Ghz bands, the AX1800 promises to eliminate dead zones while delivering fast and stable WiFi.

The RE705X is scheduled to launch in Q3 2019 with an MSRP of $99.99.

AC1200 OneMesh WiFi Repeater

TP-Link has also announced the expansion of its whole home mesh offerings, which will also be on display at CES.

Along with the aforementioned Deco X10, the all new TP-Link OneMesh Line includes the new AC1200 dual band RE300 WiFi repeater – the first OneMesh range extender to market in April 2019.

It features up to 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps at 5 GHz. With new OneMesh technology, the RE300 will work with the Archer C7/Archer A7 (with the OneMesh firmware upgrade in April) to create a flexible and cost-effective mesh WiFi solution for your home.

“We are extremely proud to roll out more whole home mesh networking solutions to our customers,” said Louis Liu, CEO at TP-Link USA. “Especially with the OneMesh, TP-Link is providing a flexible and cost-effective way for existing and future TP-Link traditional router users to easily upgrade to whole home mesh WiFi.”

The OneMeshTM Range Extender RE300 is scheduled to launch in April with an MSRP of $49.99.
