ASUS unveils its first ROG PC case – the Strix Helios

ASUS Republic of Gamers has announced its new mid-tower gaming chassis, the ROG Strix Helios.

The first PC case by ROG, the Strix Helios is a stylish aluminium frame perfect for those who want to showcase the most impressive builds.

“With tempered glass panels on both sides of the chassis, a two piece PSU shroud that showcases your power (perfect for a ROG Thor PSU), RGB lighting, superb build quality and an innovative GPU cover that comes with integrated GPU braces, there’s something for every style of build you can imagine,” said ASUS.

Strix Helios can accommodate up to an EATX motherboard and offers ample space for serious water-cooling setups. With support for up to 420mm front and 360mm top radiators, room is also reserved for installing a water-cooling pump and reservoir. The case also features an advanced I/O panel loaded with connectivity and fast controls, including a reversible USB 3.1 Type-C port and dedicated controls for fan speed and RGB lighting.

An adjustable multifunction cover with GPU braces cleverly hides cabling, provides sturdy support to graphics cards and allows for an SSD or ROG Aura Terminal to be mounted for display. There’s also a two-piece PSU shroud with a front cut-out to enable compatibility with ROG Thor or other OLED-integrated power supplies. In the back, a translucent cable cover conceals unsightly wiring while allowing illuminations from RGB devices to shine through.

The ROG Strix Helios also comes with sturdy removable handles so that it can be transported for people to show off their builds at LAN or gaming events without hassle. The ROG Strix Helios will be making its UK debut at the ROG Stand during the Easter Weekend Insomnia i64 gaming festival complete with a brand new SLI ROG Strix RTX 2080 build.

The case is available in the UK this April with an MSRP of £249.99.
