Maverick AV Solutions appoints two new UK directors

Maverick AV Solutions has appointed to AV specialists to spearhead its UK team. James Vickerage joins as Business Unit director, while Joan Axia joins as UK Commercial director.

Bringing a wealth of 20 years experience in the AV industry to the role, Vickerage joins the distributor from ScanSource Communications. During his tenure at ScanSource, Vickerage delivered a significant re-organisation of the company structure, while running a team of country managers and vice presidents across Europe.

Talking about his appointment, Vickerage said that he is ‘looking forward to the opportunity of working with customers’. He added: “I have long admired Maverick’s line up of vendor partners as well as the strong company culture. They are uniquely positioned to deliver these applications to resellers across the world. I am looking forward to the opportunity of working with customers to provide industry leading collaborative and digital signage solutions across the Channel.”

Also joining the ranks is Joan Axia, who joins as UK Commercial director from the company’s Spanish division. Axia role will be to support the next phase of growth for Maverick in the UK, having spent the last seven years as director of Maverick Iberia. He brings over 12 years of experience in AV business and product development to the UK team, with a specialty in signage and collaboration.
