Lenovo has announced that Jane Ashworth will join the company on 1st October as director of Channel and SMB.
With over 20 years’ experience, Ashworth has held senior positions at a variety of major blue-chip organisations including HP, Sony and more recently, running the education technology organisation SMART Technology.
Preben Fjeld, general manager of Lenovo UK and Ireland said: “Our channel partners are fundamental to our continued growth plans, and Jane’s strong background in channel sales, channel development and product management will further propel and energise the relationship with our partners in the UK and Ireland.”
Ashworth will be responsible for sales of commercial products and services into the channel and will have a specific focus on driving growth in small to medium sized businesses in the UK.
Lenovo recently launched a new channel programme focused on driving its market share in education to “recognise, reward, and enable specialist education channel partners”. The firm says, Ashworth’s experience selling a broad portfolio of commercial products and running a major educational technology company with help it accelerate its ambitions faster.
