Kramer launches in the GCC

Pro AV specialist, Kramer is entering the market in the GCC countries. Headquartered in Israel, the company has signed a new distribution agreement with Abcom Distribution LLC, who will represent Kramer exclusively in the UAE.

This deal follows the Israel-United Arab Emirates normalisation agreement, which was signed in September 2020. Prior to this, all trade, travel and even telephone communication between the two countries was restricted. UAE’s openness to Israeli trade and technology innovation is a historical breakthrough and Kramer is proud to be at its forefront. Kramer has found a robust partner in Abcom, who has embraced their vision to become a major player in the booming technology industry of the UAE.

Sam Bonomo, Executive VP at Kramer said: “The last eight months have seen the world transform its video and audio use, with the rise of hybrid working and blended learning methods. These technologies now power the way we work, learn, and socialise. Our signal distribution solutions bridge the worlds of traditional Pro AV and IT to facilitate high quality, flexible and secure video and audio communications and will bring game-changing opportunities to the region.”

Kramer has been the pioneer and leader of the Pro AV industry for four decades, creating solutions that blend cutting-edge cloud technologies, advanced software, and time-tested hardware. Most recently this innovation has included pioneering methods of delivering AV over IP, simplified scaling, and extension solutions with products such as the KIT-400 and wireless presentation and collaboration advances through the VIA range.

Pradeep Kumar, General Manager at Abcom Distribution said, “We are honoured to be the exclusive distributer of Kramer solutions in the UAE. Israel is renowned for developing world leading technology solutions and we are proud to be the first to bring Kramer’s products to the professional audio-visual and IT markets in the UAE. We signed the agreement with Kramer on 12th November 2020 and are excited to host their participation at GITEX this year. We distinguish ourselves by offering innovative and cost-effective distribution. This is a great opportunity for us to expand our portfolio and for Kramer to enter a new market.”
