Simms to distribute Micron Europe’s memory technology

Simms has partnered with Micron Europe to strengthen its product portfolio with the brand’s award-winning memory technology.

With the role of computer memory technology changing significantly in recent years, memory no longer simply holds data – it is the key to unlocking the meaning and value of that data and as a result, has become a driver of discussion on core IT agendas.

Simms has responded to this changing role of memory by partnering with Micron Europe. Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), system integrators, designers, and resellers will benefit from the combination of Simms’ leading experience and knowledge gained over three decades and Micron’s range of products, helping them to adapt to changing system requirements.

“Memory isn’t restricted to traditional computing environments anymore and a one size fits all approach to specification no longer applies,” explained Kevin Howse, chief sales officer at Simms.

“The intended use case and application will dictate feature sets, component characteristics and different levels of technical support requirements. To satisfy these varying needs, customers rely on an experienced distributor with access to the widest range of best-in-class technologies – Simms’ 30 years of experience and Micron’s broad selection of memory and storage products ensures we can solve even the most complex of IT challenges within the workplace, datacentre or at the edge.”

Paul Reynolds, Micron’s Northern Europe channel sales manager, said: “Micron strives to align with the best partners across the distribution channel. Simms has proven for many years that it possesses the skill, knowledge and high-quality customer service that the channel requires and that our customers expect. This makes it a perfect addition to our network of distributors in Europe.”
