BullGuard joins forces with ASUS ROG to protect gamers

BullGuard has joined forces with ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) to offer gamers “lightning fast, secure gaming”.

Understanding the importance of remaining protected from malware while gaming, ROG has teamed up with BullGuard to offer all ROG motherboard customers a free, one year subscription to BullGuard Internet Security, which features BullGuard’s Game Booster technology.

BullGuard created Game Booster to protect gamers and make sure their gaming is never slowed down or interrupted. It works on computers with four core processors, automatically detecting users’ gaming sessions to ensure processing cores are dedicated to the game, removing random game spikes which slow down the game. In fact, BullGuard boasts that its Game Booster doesn’t just reduce the impact of anti-virus on games, it actually increases their speed.

“The decision to create a relationship between BullGuard and ROG came very naturally,” said Steve Hicks, head of global sales at BullGuard. “Thanks to ROG’s dedication to delivering products specific to the gaming market, and BullGuard’s innovative Game Booster technology ensuring gamers never have to choose between the ultimate gaming experience and staying protected from online threats, we can work together to actually improve the gaming experience, while keeping gamers safe online.”

Joe Hsieh, chief operating officer of ASUS, added: “Game Booster sets BullGuard Internet Security apart from other internet security packages and is a feature that we know our customers will benefit from and be thankful for. The perfect match for ROG motherboards, we are excited to be able to work with BullGuard to offer such a secure and optimised gaming experience. Finally, gamers can play hard with the peace of mind that they are protected.”

Both companies are also currently working together to develop a co-branded, specialised gaming user interface.
