The distributor has made significant investment in developing its skills and capabilities in Micro Focus software solutions. It has put technical and sales staff through the vendor’s training programme and Micro Focus partners will now be directly supported by the Growth Vendor team within Tech Data Advanced Solutions, managed by Lynda Edwards, Business Unit Manager, with further resource and backing available from the Professional Services practice.
The extensive Micro Focus range includes solutions in the areas of enterprise development, hybrid IT management, predictive analytics, security, risk and governance.
Tech Data will be looking to work with both existing Micro Focus partners and those who are new to the extended range of solutions – to grow sales, drive profitability and increase customer satisfaction, said Simon Bennett, Business Unit Director Advanced Solutions at Tech Data UK and Ireland.

In other Tech Data news, the distributor is also about to launch an incentive scheme for resellers on the vendor’s data protection solutions. The six-month programme will see a number of resellers rewarded for their sales achievements with an end-of-summer trip to Ibiza.
