Philips Professional Display Solutions now fully compatible with Sky Bright Box

Philips has added full compatibility with Sky Bright Box to its range of TVs and digital signage for the hospitality sector.

The technology behind Sky Select, Sky Bright Box delivers HD entertainment across hotels – from one centralised HD system.

This development means that hoteliers choosing displays from Philips Professional Display Solutions together with Sky Select, can deliver content in high definition to their guests, viewing across a selection of Sky HD channels – throughout their hotels, both in guest rooms and in public spaces.

Hoteliers can choose from 96 premium satellite channels, including guests’ favourite Sky channels, with seven channels in HD as standard, while also incorporating their guests’ favourite Freeview and foreign channels distributed over the existing infrastructure. In addition to this, hoteliers have the flexibility to easily swap existing channels or add more to suit their guest profile at any time.

Commenting on this latest partnership, Kendra Ingram, Professional TV Business Manager in the UK, said: “At Philips Professional Display Solutions we work to provide more than simple displays. We aim to provide high quality end user experiences.

“Working with Sky delivers an added element to our offering, complementing our CMND display management system with a truly personalised experience for hotel guests.”

Bronwyn Groves, Director – Partnerships at Sky, added: “We’re delighted that Philips’ display solutions are now fully compatible with the Sky Bright Box. This means that more hoteliers can give their customers a home-from-home experience when staying in their hotels.

“Statistics published in April 2018 by Research Now identified that 84% of guests believe that the TV service in a hotel room should be as good as they have at home. In addition to this, seven out of ten guests said it was important to have both Sky TV and a large screen HD TV in their hotel bedroom.

“Guests continue to demand and expect more from in-room TV viewing. So, it’s important for us to be able to provide hoteliers with the flexibility they need to deliver a range of sport, entertainment and movies to exceed guest expectations and drive great guest satisfaction and reviews. In fact, guest satisfaction is 30% higher in hotels with Sky than those without.”
