Optoma unveils two new short throw projectors for small meeting rooms

Optoma has introduced its new W308STe and X308STe short throw projectors, promising “exceptional brightness” of up to 3600 lumens.

Both models come with the added benefit of a short throw lens which can project a 100-inch diagonal image on a screen or wall from just over a metre away, making them ideal for smaller meeting rooms or huddle spaces.

“Our new short throw projectors offer an extremely cost-effective solution for brighter images in meeting rooms,” explained Kishan Mistry, senior product manager at Optoma EMEA.

The new projectors feature extensive connectivity with multiple inputs including HDMI, VGA and USB power for a quick connection to a laptop, PC, Blu-ray player or media streamer.

They can be turned into smart projectors by connecting an HDMI dongle such as Google Chromecast to stream videos or share documents on the big screen. An audio input can negate the need for additional audio hardware and cabling for businesses.

W308STe and X308STe key features include:

  • Bright lights-on viewing
  • HD Ready WXGA (W308STe) and XGA (X308STe)
  • Installation flexibility – short throw lens
  • Vertical keystone
  • Easy connectivity – HDMI, VGA, USB power
  • Clear, powerful audio – 10W speaker
