This is Epson’s first ReadyInk partnership agreement and will run through Network Group’s reseller network.
Network Group will providing its customers with an easy and subscription-free solution – to prevent end users from running out of ink. Epson monitors the ink usage of registered customers and shares this information with Network Group. When the ink is running low, the customer is notified and this starts the process of issuing a new cartridge.
The majority of Epson’s printers released after April 2013 are eligible for the service and customers can check online here to see if their printer is supported by ReadyInk technology.
Epson says the programme was developed in response to customers’ needs for “seamless printing requirements”, with consumers increasingly looking for quick and convenient, ‘always-on’ solutions.
The 360ink programme ensures a continuous supply of genuine ink, whilst “empowering retail and reseller channel partners”.
Mauro Bartoletti, European head of retail at Epson, commented: “Giving users what they want and need is at the heart of everything we do – and by working with Network Group to deliver this programme, we are also helping resellers strengthen customer retention and grow sales in an increasingly challenging market.”
Phylip Morgan, managing director at Network Group, added: “With great support from Epson’s UK and European teams, and our relentless ambition as a business to be first to market in the UK, businesses and homes across the UK can now get access to ‘peace of mind, pay-as-you-go printing’ from 360ink powered by Epson ReadyInk.”
The solution is available through Network Group’s 71 resellers across the UK, who will provide the customer interface and manage the customer experience.
