London-based cloud consultancy Red Pixie has been acquired by HPE to be a part of the company’s Pointnext division.
HPE removed itself from the public cloud game in January 2016 when it switched off its Helion services (which had been branded by an HP exec as making ‘no sense’ for the company). The company however has of late rebranded its Technology Services arm into Pointnext for giving advice to customers on hybrid solutions.
In a statement, Ana Pinczuk, SVP and GM, of HPE Pointnext said: "Some workloads are best suited to the public cloud, some should live in a private cloud environment and others need to stay in traditional on-premises infrastructure.
"Finding the right mix will enable businesses to analyse data quickly, efficiently manage workloads and ultimately accelerate business outcomes by driving new business models, creating new customer and employee experiences, and improving operational performance."
The announcement follows on from the company’s acquisition of Cloud Technology Partners last September which was intended to add to HPE’s knowledge of AWS and its services.
