Kaspersky appoints new European MD

Kaspersky has appointed Ilijana Vavan as its new managing director for Europe. Bringing nearly 25 years of experience in the IT sector in sales, management and technical roles, Vavan brings a wealth of knowledge to her new position.

She joined Kaspersky Lab at the beginning of January 2018 from Oracle, where she was the senior sales director with responsibility for sales growth in Germany and Switzerland.

Ilijana will be responsible for Kaspersky Lab’s regional European business strategy and will seek continued growth in B2C, digital and enterprise. She has a superb track-record and extensive experience in IT Security, SaaS and Cloud as well as enterprise applications software and IoT. In a long a varied career within the Channel, she has held a number of senior leadership roles at Kontron, Saba Software, Juniper Networks as well as Kaspersky Lab from 2010 – 2012 when she served as MD for Western Europe. Prior to that, Ilijana held a number of roles at Microsoft, including being responsible for the organisation’s enterprise and partner strategy for Central & Eastern Europe.
