With Internet of Things (IoT) demand on the rise, international distributor Tech Data has announced a new pan-European deal to offer managed IoT connectivity services from Vodafone, one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies. The agreement will see resellers and systems integrators across Europe have access to Vodafone’s value-added IoT services, which enable end customers to securely integrate and tailor IoT solutions into their businesses in segments such as manufacturing, logistics and transport, retail, or smart spaces.
Vodafone’s managed IoT connectivity services join Tech Data’s extensive IoT Solutions portfolio, comprising a range of best-of-breed, interoperable solutions, ranging from sensing devices and gateways at the edge of the network to data aggregation and analytics in the datacenter or the cloud, as well as augmented reality devices and smart displays for user interfaces.

Tech Data’s offering includes IoT SIM-enabled devices, hardware and software that, in combination with Vodafone’s Managed IoT connectivity services, will allow reseller partners to provide complete IoT solutions to their customers. This will enable business outcomes such as remote monitoring and control for industrial operational applications, mobile asset tracking, fleet management, building security, network access and worldwide device management solutions.
