Exertis has snapped up a real coo of a distribution deal. The UK disite has agreed a deal with Intel to distribute the US tech giant’s processors, SSD, Optane memory and NUC products. The deal includes the distribution of Intel’s Core X-series processor family including the new Intel Core i9 processor brand and, in the future, the Intel Core i9 Extreme Edition – the first desktop CPU with 18 cores and 36 threads of power. The company also introduced the Intel X299 chipset, which adds even more I/O and overclocking capabilities.
Clearly excited by the deal Exertis components general manager Stuart Hatch said he was ‘proud’ of tying up the deal. “We are proud to confirm our appointment as an authorised distributor for Intel,” he said. “This new partnership is a major addition to our channel-leading components portfolio. We look forward to enabling our customers to benefit from Intel ITP points on Intel purchases from Exertis and to recruiting new customers to the program.
“This announcement comes at a great time with the recent launch of the Intel X299 platform from our three motherboard brands. In addition, the exciting new Intel Optane Memory enables the acceleration of hard drives when coupled with Kaby Lake processors and will be particularly well-received by systems integrators building high performance gaming PCs.”
