CMS Computers founders debut new bespoke system integrator company Punch Technology

Founders of CMS Computers Ian Fraser and Sion Roberts, have partnered to launch Punch Technology, a new performance system integrator that is aimed at the growing bespoke PC market. Former CMS manager David Quick will join Fraser and Roberts at Punch Technology as commercial director. Dave Ayling, also a former CMS Computers manager, will join them as operations director.

Punch Technology is selling its tailored PC configuration service via online marketplaces and will introduce it to the wider consumer market next month: “We are creating an optimised bespoke product to sell directly to the consumer and as well as doing the recognisable optimisations such as overclocking, we are looking to bring crowdfunded projects to market that really break new ground,” technical director Sion Roberts at Punch Technology said.

“Punch Technology’s brand proposition is all about pushing the boundaries and this is reflected in any bespoke product that we design.”

After founding CMS Computers in 1993, Fraser and Roberts delivered another bespoke configuration brand called Zoostorm that claimed 20 per cent of the UK retail market, Punch Technology is another venture for Fraser and Roberts: “We’re proud of our achievements at Zoostorm and launching Punch Technology was a natural progression for us in the evolving PC industry,” managing director at Punch Technology Ian Fraser said.

“We’re refining our production techniques and sales channels to allow for the kinds of customisation that we feel our customers require.”
