‘It’s vital to recognise the contributions women make to the industry’ – CompTIA backs PCR Women of the Year 2016

CompTIA has signed up as category partner for the 2016 PCR Women of the Year awards, which takes place on October 14th at London’s Sway bar.

The IT trade association is once again category partner for the Rising Star award, which celebrates up and coming female talent within the UK tech channel.

Last year, CompTIA’s industry relations senior VP Nancy Hammervik handed the Rising Star award to Overclockers system technician Abbey Bowen.

CompTIA said in a statement: "We are proud to partner with PCR for the third year in a row on the PCR Women of the Year event. It is vital to the channel that we take the time to recognise the fantastic contributions that women make to the industry.

"Not only do we get to celebrate these individuals that have made an impact in the channel, but also to highlight the IT channel as a place where women can flourish and achieve great success to inspire others to pursue a career in IT."
