An image of the supposed NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card has appeared online.
Reddit user samlhs posted the 1060 image online, saying that the GPU has appeared in Hong Kong.
A 1050 is also said to be in development.
The leak comes as the recently launched 1070 and 1080 graphics cards suffer pixel clock problems with certain monitors.
Tech Power Up reports that users of monitors with dual-link DVI connectors are noticing problems when booting to Windows with pixel clocks set higher than 330 MHz.
While users can apparently boot to Windows at default pixel clocks, then set the refresh rates (and pixel clocks) higher than 330 MHz, they are unable to boot at that particular setting.
Another workaround is to use DisplayPort or boot into safe mode to reset the monitor Hz to a lower value – under 81Hz.
The problem is affecting some users with an overclocked Korean monitor (such as Qnix and Yamakasi).
Users have shared their problems on the GeForce forums.
One user with a custom-design GTX 1070 said that if the refresh rate of their 1440p monitor is set higher than 81 Hz and the resolution at 2560 x 1440, the machine doesn’t correctly boot into Windows. The splash screen is apparently replaced with flash colour screens.
It’s the second bug with the new 1070 and 1080 cards, after some early adopters of the Founders Edition cards complained about unpredictable spikes in fan speed.
