As we approach this year’s PCR Boot Camp conference and expo, event speaker and Westcoast MD Alex Tatham reflects on the changes in the channel.
“No longer are distributors merely a credit line and a warehouse, they are offering ranges of services and encouraging vendors to adopt consumption models for enterprise hardware and monthly billing for software,” Tatham told PCR.
“Microsoft are building a new datacentre in Sheffield and are predicted to be the largest global storage vendor by 2018.
“These are big changes in a market that evolves quickly anyway,” he added.
“So if you are coming along to PCR’s Bootcamp for a free mouse – then think again. Come along to the Emirates and find out how you should be changing your business, your relationship with some key vendors and distributors as well developing some new lines of business for end-user customers that have only just started up – for its these companies that are likely to be driving the agenda in 2016.”
Alex Tatham, who ‘promises not to be shy when answering your questions’, will be taking part in the Distie Question Time interactive panel Q&A, along with VIP Computers MD Rich Marsden, Target Components MD Paul Cubbage and Widget MD Mark Needham.
Questions will be put forward from the crowd to the four execs about issues surrounding IT and tech distribution in this no-holds barred Q&A session.
PCR launched the Distie Question Time panel session at 2015’s PCR Boot Camp North, where Tatham disagreed with the other distie exec on the panel about price feeds. The session proved so successful, that we are now bringing it to a larger audience at The Emirates Stadium on May 18th.
Don’t miss Tatham and the other execs on the Distie Question Time panel session at the 2016 PCR Boot Camp IT conference and expo on May 18th in London.
