TD Azlan has announced two key appointments to its UK senior management team.
Simon Bennett as joined the firm as business unit director IBM Dell/EMC and Lenovo Enterprise, while Peter Spreadbury joins as director of software, strengthening Azlan’s management team.
They join the board under the leadership of Rob Tomlin, who was appointed as managing director of Azlan in January.
Bennett has 15 years industry experience and been at Azlan for nearly seven years. He was previously general manager of sales and before that internal sales and operations manager.
In his new role Bennett will be responsible for managing key enterprise infrastructure partners, including IBM, Dell, EMC, Lenovo, Avaya and Brocade.
Spreadbury was previously at SCC for 13 years, recently as software director and before that, as director of vendor alliances.
He has also worked in various senior roles at Hewlett Packard and has a total of 28 years IT industry experience.
As Software Director at Azlan Spreadbury will be responsible for managing the relationships with leading vendors such as VMware, VERITAS, Citrix, Nutanix, IGEL, and Atlantis.
Commenting on the appointments, Tomlin stated: “We are bringing Azlan together as one team with one vision and as a value distributor that is fully-equipped and ready to work with VARs, systems integrators and MSPs to deliver advanced hybrid solutions to end-user customers.
“Both Simon and Peter have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the market and a deep understanding of partner needs. They will make vital contributions as Azlan advances its strategy and works to extend its market-leading position and take value distribution into a new dimension.”
Azlan says it will be placing a clear focus on three key areas of the market in 2016; the software-defined data centre, workspace mobility and information and Big Data.
It has also been making further investments in its Technology and Services Practice, under Phil King, and placing increased focus on innovation and collaboration across all its teams.
