Computers Unlimited has announced two new distribution deals.
First up, CU has become the sole UK distributor of Chord’s Mojo portable headphone amp and DAC.
In addition to supplying stock into retail, CU will work with Chord to develop fresh packaging, marketing, POS and promotional opportunities for the Mojo.
The Chord Mojo is a portable, battery-powered DAC (digital to analogue converter) and headphone amplifier that allows users to hear more from their headphones, anywhere. It turns any smartphone, tablet or computer into a high-resolution music player, and can boost the sound quality of many other devices, including games consoles.
Colin Pratt, Sales Manager at Chord Electronics said: “This a great deal for us and our trade partners: CU are specialists at driving demand, so we expect to see more people than ever wanting to experience the magic of Mojo. The agreement also frees us up to spend more time developing our award-winning DAC line.”
Richard Chatley, CU Business Manager, added: “We’re confident that demand for Mojo will grow and grow: it’s an amazing product that deserves to be appreciated by a wider audience, which is what we’ll work to attract.”
CU has also entered a distribution deal with littleBits.
Under the agreement, CU will assist in scaling the littleBits distribution network by providing littleBits products to its growing community of channel partners in both the consumer electronics and education markets.
In March at SXSWedu, littleBits announced the launch of the littleBits STEAM Student Set, a toolbox designed with educators to engage students in powerful STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) learning through invention.
Late last year, littleBits launched the Gizmos & Gadgets Kit, which is designed for kids and kids at heart by former LEGO executives to contain all of the tools and accessories kids need to build 12 projects right out of the box, with hundreds more online and via the littleBits app.
“The new relationship with CU will greatly scale our international sales, marketing and product marketing efforts, placing littleBits’ Kits in retail locations across the UK, and increasing support and training for our international channel partners,” said Will Robinson, vice president sales for littleBits.
