New gear: iPhone SE, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, self-learning radiator, Galaxy TabPro S

Here’s our roundup of the latest hardware, components, peripherals and products from the tech and IT channel announced this week.

APPLE IPHONE SE AND NEW IPAD PRO
Apple has unveiled the iPhone SE, a new smartphone with the same 64-bit A9 chip offered in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, but in a 4-inch form factor. The firm has also introduced a new 9.7-inch iPad Pro. It comes with a 64-bit A9X chip, a four-speaker audio system, 12MP camera, 5MP HD FaceTime camera, and Apple Pencil.

HAVERLAND SMARTWAVE SELF-LEARNING RADIATOR
Electric Radiators Direct has announced the Haverland Smartwave, an intelligent, adaptable electric radiator range which uses advanced motion sensor technology in order to learn your weekly routine. The Wi-Fi-controlled SmartWave has a built in infrared sensor technology which registers and records activity, learning when it needs to be heating your property and when it doesn’t.

SAMSUNG GALAXY TABPRO S
Samsung’s new Galaxy TabPro S is powered by a 6th Gen Intel Core m processor and is designed specifically for mobile professionals. The 2-in-1 has a 12-inch display, 5MP cameras, 4GB of RAM and runs Windows 10.

LINKSYS MAX STREAM MU-MIMO WI-FI ROUTER
Linksys has announced the availability of its Linksys Max-Stream AC1900 MU-MIMO Gigabit Wi-Fi Router (EA7500). The router leverages the 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple Input, Multiple Output) technology, which helps ensure uninterrupted Wi-Fi connectivity to multiple devices in the home and functions as if multiple devices have their own dedicated router. It is available now with an RRP of £149.99.

LMS DATA COOLFLOW 12CM FAN
Dynamode’s LMS Data CoolFlow features the standard 12cm fan as well as both 3-pin and 4-pin (molex) power input connectors. The firm has also introduced the newly re-designed range of Dynamode 2-port and 4-port KVM switches. Both models are totally Plug n’ Play for any operating system and computer hardware that feature the industry standard USB interface and SVGA/VGA video interface.

BENQ 32-INCH 4K VIDEO-EDITING MONITOR
BenQ has launched a new 32-inch 4K UHD video-editing monitor. The PV3200PT comes with an array of features designed for those working in professional video post-production. It has 100 per cent Rec.709 and sRGB for optimal colour precision, hardware calibration, brightness uniformity and Palette Master Element colour calibration software. The PV3200PT monitor is priced at £1,099.

HP LASERJET M 501
HP has unveiled some new HP LaserJet printers, including the LaserJet M 501. The energy-saving printer delivers security features to help guard against threats. It also leads its class in low energy use.

PROLABS SFP+ MODULE
ProLabs has announced the introduction of a 10GBASE-T SFP+ transceiver which will allow data centre and network managers the ability to extend the life of their cabling infrastructure with a simple, cost effective upgrade. This is the first in the range of ProLabs’ copper products – 2.5/5G Copper SFP transceivers for the data centre and G.Fast copper transceivers for the telecom industry, which interface with a standard Ethernet switch, will also be launched later in the year.

QSAN XCUBESAN AND XCUBENAS
QSAN has announced the upcoming launch of its new XCubeSAN XS5200 series and XCubeDAS XD5300 series. XCubeSAN is QSAN’s next generation SAN storage platform, featuring the latest Intel Xeon D-1500 processors and the QLogic 2600 series Gen 5 (16Gb) Fibre Channel quad-port controller. XCubeDAS is QSAN’s next generation DAS (Direct-Attached Storage) expansion enclosure product line, which fully adopts native 12G SAS 3.0 technology and can serve as an expansion enclosure of XCubeSAN while providing storage to your servers.

WORLD’S FIRST QUANTUM DOT COLOUR DISPLAY FROM MMD
MMD has unveiled the world’s first monitor with Quantum Dot Colour technology. The new 27-inch E-Line display delivers professional colour quality with 100% NTSC and 99% Adobe RGB support. The display will be available in March at an RRP of £239.99.

BE QUIET! PURE POWER 9 CM
be quiet! has introduced the Pure Power 9 CM with 400 to 700 watts, offering a new option for quiet PC configurations as well as powerful multi-GPU systems. Thanks to extensive development work, both the efficiency and the signal strength are improved when compared to its predecessor while reducing noise to a minimum. The Pure Power 9 CM is available in 400, 500, 600 and 700 watts with MSRP between £54.99 and £89.99.

BROTHER ENTERPRISE-LEVEL MONO LASER SERIES
Brother UK has launched its first enterprise-level mono laser series tailored for large organisations, which require rapid, high volume printing. The four new models in the L6000 workgroup range have been designed to target the high growth being experienced in the above 45ppm print market. The range has enterprise-level security and includes the latest authentication (Active Directory integration and in-built NFC card readers), encryption (IP-Sec, TLS and SSL) scanning and workflow (scan to FTPS) features to ensure confidential information is protected.
