DOOM minimum and recommended PC specs revealed

The minimum and recommended PC specs for Bethesda’s DOOM reboot have been revealed in an FAQ about the game’s closed beta.

Developed by id software, DOOM will return as a ‘brutally fun and challenging’ modern-day shooter experience.

The game will be available worldwide on May 13th 2016, and it promises ‘relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat’.

In the run up to the release date, there will be a closed beta, which runs from Thursday 31st March to Sunday 3rd April. It will give gamers the chance to play the shooter weeks before its release and is expected to feature two maps, Heatware and Infernal.

The closed beta will be open to those who have redeemed their DOOM beta codes included with some physical retail copies of Wolfenstein: The New Order, and to those who pre-purchased or purchased it digitally prior to May 26th 2014.
