Lenovo has admitted to PCR it has been ‘behind the curve’ in the gaming space, but says it is now catching up with the market.
At CES, the company showed off a gaming desktop PC developed in conjunction with Razer, which will launch later this year. It also has gaming products such as the Ideapad Y700 which it is pushing on its own Lenovo Gaming branded website.
Speaking to PCR around the opening of Lenovo’s branded experience zones in two Dixons Carphone stores, Lenovo’s UK consumer director Alex Ebeid said: "Gaming is an interesting part of the market and it’s growing.
"It’s a market that I would say we have been behind the curve and now we’re catching up – we’re going to be ahead of the curve.
"We announced at CES that we’re partnering with Razer and they will be helping us with our gaming proposition going forward.
"We’re really excited about the gaming proposition and the experience zones will help us get those products to consumers later on in the year."
