Mad Catz CEO and other senior execs resign ahead of earnings report

Gaming accessory vendor Mad Catz has experienced a day of significant upheaval ahead of the publication of its latest financials.

Longstanding president and CEO Darren Richardson (pictured), who has held that position since 2004, chairman Thomas Brown and senior vice president of business affairs Whitney Peterson have all resigned.

CFO Karen McGinnis has replaced Richardson as CEO.

“We recognize the tremendous value that Thomas, Darren and Whitney have brought to Mad Catz during their tenure and thank them for their many contributions throughout the years,” she said.

The news comes after the company announced new Street Fighter accessories and launched the RAT Pro S gaming mouse.
