CES 2016: HTC and HP’s VR-ready PC, world’s thinnest 1TB SSD from SanDisk, Samsung Galaxy TabPro S

Here is our latest roundup of new tech unveiled at this year’s Las Vegas show:

SanDisk SSDs
SanDisk has unveiled the new SanDisk X400 SSD, the world’s thinnest one terabyte M.2 solid state drive. It is the first single-sided 1TB SATA M.2 form factor with a mere 1.5mm height. The X400 SSD is designed for fast start-up and application launch, as well as for extended battery life.

HTC and HP’s ENVY Phoenix VR PC
HP has announced a collaboration with HTC to deliver a virtual reality-ready desktop PC, the HP ENVY Phoenix. The PC powers Vive, the new VR system from HTC, to deliver a uniquely immersive VR experience with room scale tracking capabilities, combined with photosensors on the headset and controllers, to track a user’s movement within a 3D space. The HP ENVY Phoenix is expected to be available in the UK in February.

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S and Notebook 9
Samsung has announced the Galaxy TabPro S, which is powered by Microsoft Windows 10. Other specs include LTE, 12-inch display, 5MP cameras, and 4GB of RAM.

The firm has also introduced a new Notebook 9 laptop series. The notebooks will come in 13.3-inch and 15-inch models and will run Windows 10 and feature Intel Core i7 processors.

Razer webcam, ultrabook and watch
Razer has launched the Razer Stargazer desktop webcam. The firm says its the world’s first webcam designed for streamers with industry-leading frame rate capture, Dynamic Background Removal, 3D scanning, and facial and gesture recognition.

Razer has also introduced a digital watch with smart funtions called the Razer Nabu Watch. It will have two designs and be available form January 6th with a $149.99 price tag. There’s also a new Razer gaming notebook called the Razer Blade Steath. Specs include Intel Core i7, 4K display, Thunderbolt 3 and a 12.5-inch touch display. The Razer Blade Stealth base model will start at $999, while the highest-end version will sell for $1,599.

TP-Link all-in-one smart home router
TP-Link has introduced its new SR20 smart home router with touchscreen. It’s an all-in-one router and Internet of Things (IoT) hub with ZigBee and Z-Wave. Specs include AC1900 class Wi-Fi performance on 5GHz (up to 1300Mbps) and 2.4GHz (up to 600Mbps) bands, four gigabit Ethernet ports, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, and built-in SD storage slot.
