PCR Awards 2016: New judging process and circus theme revealed

Roll up, roll up! The 2016 PCR Awards is coming to town – and this time with a brand new circus theme.

The PCR Awards has always been an unmissable evening event, boasting a mix of networking and celebration. While the annual awards bash has always aimed to recognise the UK PC industry’s finest, for 2016 we’re emphasising the fun factor.

In true circus fashion, we’ll be keeping most of the surprises for the evening itself, but you can expect traditional circus entertainment.

The general format of the awards will remain the same – networking drinks to start with, a sit-down dinner and gala awards ceremony followed by an after-party going into the early hours.

The 2016 PCR Awards will take place on Thursday March 10th 2016 at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington.

New judging process

We’re changing the way the awards are judged. They will still be peer-voted, but PCR will put together a smaller panel of experts to encourage better debate and discussion around the individual categories. So lobbying is more important than ever.

The deadline for all entries is Monday December 14th, with finalists being announced shortly afterwards. The judges will then vote for the winner in each category.

Once again, there are awards for vendors, retailers, resellers and distributors, and for 2016 we’ve added new awards for dealer service companies, marketing/PR firms and analysts.

Nominate your company

To ensure your company is considered as a finalist, simply email PCR editor Dominic Sacco and mention the award(s) you’d like to be in the running for, including a brief document (max 500 words) on why your company should win.

Get your nominations in now, as there’s just over one week until lobbying closes.
