Cloud Telephones gives resellers one-year free subscription for hosted VoIP

Cloud Telephones is offering its reseller customers who sign-up for hosted voice over IP (VoIP) services a free one-year subscription.

The subscription will be available for Gamma’s Horizon services, along with a free call bundle and Polycom VVX420 IP phone.

The firm says it wants more resellers to experience the benefits of the service for themselves, which may lead to more resellers selling the service to their own customers.

The firm currently represents a number of hosted voice service providers, including Gamma, BT and Vonage.

John Carter, MD of Cloud Telephones, said: “Once resellers have tried the Gamma Horizon service for themselves, they will want to sell it.

“We’re giving them the chance to experience the advantages of having very low telephony costs and a totally flexible way of working. They will then be much better placed to convince customers. It is a very simple way of giving them the chance to preach what they practice.”

As well as the free demo license and IP phone, the firm supports resellers with an ongoing lead generation programme and active sales support.

In addition, Cloud Telephones offers its customers tailored landing pages to use on their own websites, and manages all technical details and billing.

“We are working with a growing number of resellers and we are generating more leads every day.

“Some of our partners have signed some very big contracts and they are seeing good recurring income as a result of that. There is more business out there and room for more resellers to get involved and start growing their business,” added Carter.

Gamma’s Horizon service provides a range of fixed and mobile telephony capabilities via a web portal, plus customers can also choose their own telephone number.

The service comes with a ‘one number anywhere’ feature, meaning callers can dial one number to reach a desk or mobile phone.

Cloud Telephones recently reported that it had seen a period of steep growth in sales.

Carter also previously predicted that landline telephone numbers will be replaced by IP addresses in around 10 years.

Now that the firm is offering a free subscription, we’re sure we will start to see more resellers incorporate VoIP into their businesses, which could eventually lead to fewer customers using a traditional landline to make calls.
